Explorers RPG

Explorers RPG is a tabletop roleplaying game that focuses mostly on exploration. Not only that, but I try to make the players feel a genuine feeling of exploration, mystery and curiosity.

This is accomplished by building a custom campaign that is tightly intertwined with the rules. Castle Everhollow is filled with mysteries and discoveries that the players can freely explore on their own. I try to design the castle as realistic as possible, using real terminology and architecture mixed with magic.

The campaign also include The Refuge, the homebase which the players can upgrade, which is filled with NPCs and side quests.

Vertical Slice Edition

The vertical slice edition is HERE! It is a small teaser with only 12 pages. It contains a scenario "The Entrance to Castle Everhollow", five pregenerated characters and rules for running the game.

The Vertical Slice Edition is meant to be used for playtesting, so that you can get a feel of what the game will be as a finished product, and make me able to see what's good and what's not.

Note that the Vertical Slice Edition is a living document. It will be subjected to feedback depending on the feedback I get.

The Backstory

The Calamity that hit your homelands was unforseen. It hit hard and fast, and you had only minutes to run away. People died in masses, and you were lucky to survive. You jumped on a ship that left port, and your ship was lucky that it didn't sink like the rest. You survived. And for a fortnight you've been drifting on the sea.

Now you have finally found land. You crash-land on an unknown beach, right below an old, collapsed castle. There's 341 civilians that survived the Calamity. Now, you have to figure out how to survive at this place.

People start to organize, building fires, sorting food, preparing shelters. It will do for now, but you will have to get resources fast. Perhaps you can find some shelter or food in the castle. It's best to check it out.

The castle is enormous. It is much bigger than any you've seen. With such a size, it must've been powerful and renowned, but you've never heard of it. You must be a long way from home.
